In 2012, Katharina Knoll was invited to develop conceptual ideas, including a draft design, for the restructuring of the ticket counter and cloakroom area in the Feldherrenhalle (Hall of Generals) of the Heeresgeschichtliches Museum (Museum of Military History) in Vienna. In cooperation with the nextENTERprise-architects a ticket counter and cloakroom element as an expansion of a generals pillar in the form of a podium-`island` was designed—a symbiose of the old and the new. Additionally, Katharina Knoll supported the museum team in questions related to space and facility needs for the preparation of the reconstruction by the architects.
