As part of the repositioning of the Lower Austrian museum scene, a new museum has been added to Kunstmeile Krems–the Landesgalerie Niederoesterreich. Designed by marte.marte Architekten, the new building next to the caricature museum and opposite Kunsthalle Krems has been finished in 2019. In spring 2019, the Landesgalerie was opened to the public on five levels and 3,000 m2 of exhibition space.
Dieter Bogner was advising the user team and planners on all museological aspects and questions concerning security, technology, museum climate and visitor guidance, from the preliminary design phase to completion.
