In 2019, the Museum fuer Konkrete Kunst will move to a new location which is being built in the hall of the former foundry–under the new name of the Museum fuer Konkrete Kunst und Design. This will provide a suitable space for the continuously growing collection and wide range of activities at the museum.
An architecture competition was announced in 2012, which was won by querkraft architects Vienna, who submitted a design for modifying the historic former foundry building. Dieter Bogner was part of the project team as a museological consultant.
bogner.cc has been contracted to advise a team, consisting of architects, experts and the client, on all museological aspects of the project, starting with a basic evaluation of the museological requirements and providing support during the preliminary design, design and implementation phases.
Dieter Bogner was also commissioned to develop an estimation of operational cost for the new museum, taking into account content and organisational aspects.
