A museum on the history and importance of Christianity in Georgia was planned in East Georgia. The building shell was completed in 2011.
Museum planning
In an initial step, bogner.cc was commissioned to create a rough content concept. The museum concept included museological requirements for interior building works (execution of floors, walls and ceilings as well as information for lighting and museum climate) as well as a mission statement for the museum.
Exhibition project
Using the guidelines, bogner.cc suggested themes and recommended central objects for the permanent exhibition in the new museum building. They decided on content, dramaturgical structure and the division into themed rooms as well as making suggestions for implementation. The whole exhibition concept was centred around the main topic of fighting for religious and state independence.
In the next project phase, an innovative team was sought for to undertake the conception and implementation of the exhibition architecture, media, graphic and lighting design for the permanent exhibition. bogner.cc prepared and carried out the selection procedure, with the final decision being made in favour of German exhibition designer Bertron Schwarz Frey, Ulm, Berlin.
