A pôle muséal, or museum quarter, was built to the west of Lausanne train station. The cultural area consists of the new Musée Cantonal des Beaux-Arts, which was designed by Spanish architects Barozzi Veiga. It also includes another museum building by Aires Mateus e associados (Lisbon) which houses the design museum Mudac and the photography museum Elysée.
Museological consulting services
Together with organisers and future users, bogner.cc discussed and developed the concept and museological requirements (including spatial and functional programme) in workshops in preparation for the architecture competition for the new building. Furthermore, a functional draft was elaborated for the surrounding cultural area.
